Luxury Bespoke Kitchens: Designed, Crafted & Fitted Across the UK

Every Stunning KB kitchen starts with a blank canvas. No catalogue to flip through, no compromise on dimensions, no choosing between finishes that are almost right. From your first design visit to the final fitting, every detail — from the carcass joinery to the door profile, the worktop edge to the internal drawer organisation — is specified around your space, your lifestyle, and your taste.

We design, manufacture, and install luxury bespoke kitchens across the UK, working with homeowners who want a kitchen built for exactly how they live. Browse our fitted kitchens in London for recent project examples, or book a free design visit to start yours.

What Makes a Kitchen Truly Bespoke?

The word “bespoke” is used loosely in the kitchen industry — sometimes to describe a room that’s simply had its door colour changed. There’s a meaningful difference between the three main categories, and it matters when you’re making a significant investment.

Stunning KB operates entirely at the fully bespoke end of this spectrum. Every kitchen we make is drawn from scratch to fit your specific room — not adapted from a standard range. That means no awkward filler panels, no wasted corners, no carcasses that are 50mm too wide for the alcove. Just a made-to-measure kitchen that looks as though it was always there.

Our Kitchen Design Styles

We don’t produce a catalogue — but we do have a vocabulary. Over fifteen years of custom kitchen design, four styles account for the majority of what our clients commission. Here’s how each one differs, and how we approach it.

Shaker Kitchens

The Shaker style is the most enduring in British kitchen design, and for good reason: its recessed-panel door, clean frame, and understated proportions work equally well in a Georgian townhouse and a rear-extension open-plan. Our bespoke Shaker kitchens are built with solid hardwood frames, and the rail-and-stile dimensions are drawn to suit the scale of your room — not pulled from a standard template. Painted in any colour from Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, or our in-house palette, the result looks handmade because it is.

Handleless / Contemporary Kitchens

For open-plan spaces and architectural homes, our handleless kitchen range delivers the clean horizontal lines that define modern British interiors. Push-to-open mechanisms, integrated appliances, and flush-fitted cabinetry keep the visual noise low. We typically specify matt lacquered or foiled door finishes here, with island units in contrasting materials or tones to add depth without disrupting the clean lines.

In-Frame Kitchens

In-frame construction — where the door sits within a solid face frame rather than overlapping the carcass — is the hallmark of traditional British cabinetmaking. It is labour-intensive, which is why many manufacturers have quietly moved away from it. We haven’t. Our in-frame kitchens are built to furniture standards: solid frames, mortise-and-tenon joints, and hinges calibrated to hold their position for decades.

Painted Kitchens

A hand-painted kitchen offers something no factory-sprayed finish can: the depth and character that comes from skilled hands applying colour in careful layers. Our painted kitchen range is finished in our workshop, producing a surface that is richer, more tactile, and more forgiving of the minor scuffs and patina that come with a well-used room. Available in any colour, with a durable protective topcoat rated for kitchen environments.

Premium Materials & Craftsmanship

A bespoke kitchen is only as good as what it’s built from. The materials we specify aren’t chosen for margin — they’re chosen because they’ll still be performing in thirty years.
Our standard specification uses solid hardwood carcasses, Blum or Hettich soft-close hinge and drawer systems, and dovetail joinery on all drawer boxes. Every kitchen we deliver is covered by a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty against defects in materials and workmanship — because we’re confident in what we’re handing over.

Luxury Bespoke Kitchens

Materials and finishes we work with:
Carcass construction: Solid oak, American white oak, birch ply, MDF-core with hardwood facing
Door finishes: Hand-painted (any colour), matt or satin lacquer, real wood veneer, foiled
Kitchen worktops: Quartz (Silestone, Caesarstone), granite, Dekton, solid timber, Corian
Hardware: Blum Tandembox, Hettich InnoTech, Legrabox — soft-close as standard on every drawer
Joinery: Dovetail drawer boxes, mortise-and-tenon frame construction, through-tenon detailing available on request
Ironmongery: Brushed brass, unlacquered brass, brushed nickel, matt black, polished chrome — sourced from UK and European specialists
We’re happy to specify to your architect’s or interior designer’s schedule, or to guide you through options in full during your design consultation.

How Much Does a Luxury Bespoke Kitchen Cost?

The most common question we’re asked — and the one our industry is most reluctant to answer. We think that’s a mistake. Pricing transparency builds trust, and it helps both sides have the right conversation from the start.

Project ScaleTypical ScopeInvestment
Smaller kitchen (up to 10 units)Standard layout, quartz worktops, Shaker or handleless doorsFrom £7,000–£10,000
Medium kitchen (10–18 units)Island or peninsula, feature materials, integrated appliances£10,000–£18,000
Large or open-plan kitchenFull bespoke layout, premium worktops, larder units, boot room£25,000+

All prices are supply and fit, including design, manufacture, delivery, and professional installation. Appliances, plumbing, and electrical first-fix are quoted separately unless otherwise specified.

What moves the price?

The biggest variables are room size, materials, and layout complexity. An island with integrated extraction, a full-height larder column, and a separate boot room will cost more than a galley kitchen in the same door style. Worktop choice is also a significant factor: Dekton and book-matched marble sit at a premium over standard quartz; solid oak is mid-range. Internal fittings — pull-out larder drawers, spice racks, integrated wine storage — add cost but often provide the day-to-day function that makes the investment worthwhile.

London and South East: Projects in London and the South East carry a modest premium to reflect travel logistics and the time required for multi-day installations in occupied homes. We’ll always confirm any uplift before you commit to anything.

Does a bespoke kitchen add value? Industry evidence consistently suggests a well-specified kitchen renovation adds between 5% and 10% to a property’s resale value. On a £750,000 home, that’s up to £75,000 in added equity — which changes the investment calculation considerably.

Our Design & Installation Process

We know that a project of this scale can feel opaque from the outside. Here’s exactly what to expect, with real timelines at every stage.

Total timeline from first enquiry to a finished kitchen: typically 2–3 weeks. Where specific materials carry longer lead times — certain stone worktops, specialist ironmongery — we’ll flag this clearly at the quotation stage so there are no surprises.

What Our Clients Say

★★★★★ Sarah T. — Hampstead, London

“We’d had quotes from three other companies before we found Stunning KB. The difference was immediate — our designer actually listened to how we use the space before drawing anything. The finished kitchen is better than anything we’d seen in a showroom, and it was designed specifically for our Victorian terrace. The whole process from survey to installation took just under fourteen weeks. Worth every penny.”

★★★★★ James & Claire W. — St Albans, Hertfordshire

“The quality of the finish is exceptional. We chose an in-frame Shaker in a deep navy with a Calacatta quartz worktop and it looks like something from an interiors magazine. The installation team were professional, tidy, and finished exactly to schedule. Two years on and it still looks brand new.”

★★★★★ Michael R. — Enfield, North London

“I’m not easy to please, and I was understandably cautious about the investment. Our designer was patient with every question and gave me a realistic sense of what was achievable within my budget before I’d committed to anything. The final result exceeded what I’d imagined. I’ve already recommended Stunning KB to two neighbours.”

★★★★★ The Kapoor Family — Edgware, Middlesex

“We wanted a fully open-plan kitchen-diner in a difficult L-shaped space with a supporting wall in an awkward position. The 3D design showed exactly how the finished layout would look before we agreed to anything — that confidence made all the difference. The craftsmanship is stunning and the team were brilliant throughout.”

Our Recent Kitchen Projects

Fitted Kitchen — Edgware, Middlesex A handleless contemporary kitchen in light stone matt lacquer, installed in a rear extension with bifold doors to the garden. The island was designed with an overhanging breakfast bar to seat four, concealed extraction above, and a full-height larder unit with internal pull-out fittings. Worktops in Silestone Eternal Calacatta.

Fitted Kitchen — Enfield, North London A classic painted Shaker kitchen in Farrow & Ball Mole’s Breath with Carrara marble worktops and unlacquered brass ironmongery. The layout was reconfigured to open the kitchen to the adjacent dining room, creating a through-sightline from the garden door to the living space.

BESPOKE KITCHENS Q&A

How much does a luxury bespoke kitchen cost?

Our projects typically start from £7000 for a smaller kitchen with a standard layout, rising to £25000+ for large open-plan spaces with premium materials and extensive internal fittings. Every project is priced individually — see the pricing section above for a full guide, or book a free design visit for a personalised quote with no obligation.

Do you offer a warranty on your kitchens?

Yes. All Stunning KB kitchens are covered by a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, covering structural components, cabinet mechanisms, and applied finishes. If something isn’t right within that period, contact us directly — no third-party claims process, no passing the buck. Full warranty terms are provided in writing with every signed contract.

What lead time should I allow for delivery of cabinetry, appliances and worktops?

For a fully bespoke kitchen we suggest allowing 8-12 weeks from final design sign-off to completion. This covers manufacture, finish, delivery and installation. Worktops, appliances and specialist finishes may add a little extra. If you need a more precise timetable, we’ll provide one as part of your project plan.

How will my kitchen layout cope with utilities (plumbing, electrics, ventilation)?

When we start your design process, we look closely at your plumbing, electrical and ventilation requirements so that your new kitchen is both beautiful and fully functional. We’ll map out appliance positions, plumbing routes and extraction paths, ensuring everything meets UK regulations and is neatly integrated. If major changes are needed (for instance relocating a sink), we’ll flag that early so you can budget accordingly.

What lighting solutions should I plan (ambient, task, accent)?

Great question! A well-lit kitchen uses three levels of lighting:
Ambient lighting for general illumination (ceiling or recess lights)
Task lighting for work zones (under-cabinet lights, down-lights over islands)
Accent lighting to highlight features (LEDs inside open shelving, plinth lighting)
In the design phase we can incorporate lighting plans so everything is coordinated with your cabinetry and finish. For inspiration on our work, including lighting integration, you can view our projects or request a free consultation.

How can I make my kitchen future-proof (smart appliances, energy efficiency, adaptable layout)?

We design kitchens to last, both in style and performance. That means:
Selecting high-quality materials and fittings with long warranties.
Planning flexible zones (e.g., space for future appliances or conversion of workspace).
Integrating smart appliance readiness and energy-efficient lighting/appliances.
Choosing timeless finishes so the look remains current for years.
If you’d like to explore smart kitchen features, we’re happy to showcase sample appliances and tech upgrades during our design visit.

What are good storage and organisational solutions (pull-outs, corner units, hidden pantries) in bespoke and fitted kitchens?

Storage is one of our favourite design details! We offer:
Pull-out larder units and hidden pantries for maximum capacity.
Carousels/Le Mans trays in corner units for easier access.
Specialist organizers inside drawers (cutlery, spices, utensils).
Deep drawers for pots and pans instead of base cupboards.
Tall units that reach the ceiling to eliminate wasted space.
You’ll see many of these options when you browse our Kitchen page for fitted kitchens.

Can a small kitchen (or awkward space) be transformed effectively with bespoke solutions?

Absolutely — in fact, smaller or irregular spaces often benefit most from bespoke design. Because we manufacture to measure, we can tailor cabinetry to odd angles, alcoves, sloping ceilings or limited width. Clever design and lighting can make a small kitchen feel much larger. Book a free design visit and we’ll show you how we’ve transformed similar spaces.

What maintenance is needed (worktops, finishes, hinges, drawers)?

Maintenance is straightforward when your kitchen is professionally installed:
Wipe down surfaces daily with mild detergent; avoid abrasive cleaners.
For natural stone or wood worktops, follow the manufacturer’s sealing/maintenance guidelines.
Check hinges and drawer runners once a year and adjust if needed; we use high-quality hardware that’s built to last.
If you ever need part replacements or service, we’re just a call away.

How will I ensure the ventilation and extraction are adequate (especially if open-plan)?

Good ventilation is key to a comfortable kitchen. During design we specify the correct size of extractor hood (or ceiling cassette/hob extractor) based on the cooktop size and room volume. For open-plan spaces we tend to recommend higher-capacity extraction and sometimes ceiling-mounted systems.

What happens if there are unexpected structural issues once work starts?

While we survey every project in advance, sometimes hidden issues arise (e.g., uneven floors, plumbing moves, structural fixes). If that happens, we’ll stop work, inform you, outline the options and cost implications, and get your approval before proceeding. Our goal is to keep you fully informed and avoid surprises down the line.

When is the best time to order (to avoid long lead times or supply issues)?

To reduce pressure and potential delays we recommend starting your project 3–4 months ahead of when you want to use the kitchen. Our average lead time from design sign-off to installation is around this timeframe. Booking early gives you more finish and appliance choices, and lets us avoid rush-period scheduling. Contact us today to secure your slot.

How can I ensure the design suits how I live and not just what looks good?

At our design consultation we explore your lifestyle, cooking habits, storage needs, family size and daily routines. That ensures the end result isn’t just pretty—but also practical. We’ll ask about time spent cooking, entertaining, family interaction, storage of grocery items, and more. The result? A kitchen that works for you, not just a showroom piece.

Can I still cook and use my kitchen while the work is ongoing – or do I need to vacate?

It depends on the scale of your installation. For simple cabinet replacements, we may phase the work so you retain some functionality. For full gut-and-refit, you’ll likely need to clear the space (or use a temporary kitchen elsewhere in the home or outdoors). We’ll discuss timeline and access options with you ahead of time so you can plan accordingly.

How will the lighting, flooring, and wall finishes coordinate with cabinetry and worktops?

As part of our service, we can provide mood boards that show how cabinetry, worktops, flooring, wall finishes and lighting all work together in harmony. We encourage you to choose complementary tones, textures and finishes so everything feels cohesive. During your design visit we’ll walk you through sample panels and finishes so you can see them in your own space.

What are typical overhead costs (plastering, flooring, electrics, plumbing) in addition to cabinetry?

In addition to the cabinetry, you should budget for some associated trades:
Flooring or sub-floor preparation
Electrical work (lighting, appliance circuits)
Plumbing and gas (sink, dishwasher, hob gas line)
Plastering or wall preparation if demolition has taken place
We always provide a breakdown of our cost and help you liaise with trusted trades so you have a full project cost picture.

What happens if after installation something goes wrong with the furniture or appliances?

We pride ourselves on quality craftsmanship and offer a 10-year warranty on our furniture and installation, giving you peace of mind. (See “Why Choose Us” on our Home page for full details.) Should something go wrong with the cabinetry or installation, we’ll come back and fix it. For appliances, the manufacturer’s warranty applies and we’ll help coordinate any service calls for you.
