Fitted Wardrobes and Dressing Rooms in Beaconsfield

We design, build and fit bespoke wardrobes and dressing rooms for Beaconsfield homes. Everything is made in our own workshop in Chesham. Many houses here have generous bedrooms and spare rooms that can become a proper dressing room.

Homes we work on in Beaconsfield

  • The Old Town: period houses around the wide historic streets, where rooms have character but rarely standard dimensions.
  • The New Town and surrounding roads: large detached houses, many built after the railway arrived in 1906, with big master bedrooms and spare rooms.

Dressing rooms and walk-in wardrobes

A spare bedroom or a large master bedroom can take a full walk-in wardrobe or dressing room, with hanging space, drawers, shoe storage and lighting planned around how you use it. Full-extension drawer boxes, soft-close runners and pull-down rails are the parts you touch every day, so we specify them properly.

Door styles for period and modern homes

  • Shaker doors for a traditional look that suits Old Town houses.
  • Glass doors for dressing areas that should feel light.
  • Media walls for living rooms, made in the same workshop.

Kitchens in Beaconsfield

We also make fitted kitchens for Beaconsfield homes. Our High Wycombe kitchens page covers kitchens for Beaconsfield and the surrounding area.

A similar project: mirrored glass door wardrobes

The client wanted their wardrobe to look like a piece of furniture, not a flat panel. We fitted slim black-framed mirrored glass doors across the full width, with a white interior of hanging rail, open shelving and soft-close drawers. The mirrored glass reflects light back into the room, which helps a bedroom feel less boxed in. See the glass door wardrobe project, or browse all our projects.

How it works from our Chesham workshop

Our team has over 15 years of experience designing and fitting bespoke furniture.

  • Free design visit: a designer comes to your home in Beaconsfield to measure up and talk through your brief, budget and style. The visit is free and comes with no obligation. It usually takes 60 to 90 minutes, and the designer brings material samples so you can see finishes in your own light.
  • 3D design and quote: Within 5 working days you receive a 3D design and a written, itemised quote. Nothing moves to manufacture until you have approved it.
  • Workshop build: your furniture is made to order at our workshop at 6 Cavendish Road, Chesham, not bought in as flat-pack.
  • Fitting: Our own fitters install everything, scribing units to your walls and floor so there are no gaps, and tidy up afterwards. Nothing is subcontracted, and every project is backed by a 10-year guarantee.

A fitted wardrobe usually takes 2 to 4 weeks from design visit to completion. Most are fitted in a day, and a full walk-in wardrobe takes 3 to 5 days on site.

Beaconsfield FAQs

Can you turn a spare bedroom into a dressing room?

Usually, yes. A walk-in needs about 1.5m by 2m for one person and 2.5m by 3m for two. If the room is smaller, a fitted wardrobe along one wall will almost always give you more usable storage. Our walk-in wardrobes page lists the space each layout needs.

Which door style suits a period home?

Shaker doors in a painted finish are the usual choice for a traditional room, and glass or fretwork doors can add a feature.

Do you also fit kitchens in Beaconsfield?

Yes. See our High Wycombe kitchens page.

How long does a full dressing room take?

Typically 2 to 3 weeks from the first design visit to completion: about a week for drawings and approval, 1 to 2 weeks for manufacture, and 3 to 5 days on site for installation.
